Week 2 in Chihuahua - December 18, 2017

Okay, so another week down. My Spanish is improving but it still is really hard  because I have to think about everything I want to say before I say anything and it is just really tiring. Sometimes I just wanna talk and my companion told me that he wants to talk in English every time we our in our house for him to practice and I was like hahah nah man I need to practice!!

Well, the highlight of this week is I had my first baptism! It was way cool. Her name is Rosa Maria Giner Lopez. She is awesome. I was worried about her because she has had an addiction to coffee but she managed to quit which was way cool.

It was such a cool experience. I felt the spirit very strong after. I had to memorize this: Habiendo sido comisionado por jesucristo yo te bautizo en el nombre del padre y del hijo y del espritu santo amen and her name.

I can't remember if I talked about this in my last email but some of the houses here are so poor it blows my mind. It is really a humbling experience to walk into a house with a dirt floor and like blankets and cardboard for walls and 5 people living in one room. It really makes me feel grateful for my house.

I'm not gonna lie, I was a little home sick the other day because the water broke in our apartment and was spraying out everywhere and my companion was trying to explain to me what to do in Spanish and I couldn't understand. But I'm all good I promise and I'm just way excited to talk to you guys and skype on Christmas.

Other than that not too much has happened this week.

les amo mucho
